Dominick DiPierro 81, of Myrtle Beach died Saturday, August 24, 2012. Dominick was born in Italy, son of the late John and Angela DiPierro and adoptive parents Dominick and Elizabeth DiPierro. He was predeceased in death by a step son Michael Picciano, brothers Peter and Sergio and sister, Catherine.
Mr. DiPierro was owner and operator of Hygeia Ice and Fuel, a Peekskill, NY Fire Chief and Fire Marshal. After retiring he moved to SC and worked at Litchfield Plantation for 14 years, was a member of the Elks, and Sons of Italy Lodge 2868
Survivors include his wife Margie (Picciano) DiPierro; two sons Dominick ( Linda) and Patrick (Agnes ) DiPierro, four daughters; Lisa (Raymond) Brooks, Nema (Jeffrey) Agosta, Rosalie Coviello and Lura (Freddy) Bleakley; brother Vincent DiPierro and a sister Suorgrazina DiPierro of Bisceglie Italy; step-children Rocky (Donna) Picciano, Debby Picciano Marriott, Darrell Marriott; grandchildren Christopher (Kenny) DePalma, Stacy (Teresa) Agosta, Michelle Sander, Joey Coviello, Derek Bleakley, Jessica Small, Amanda (Rocky )Picciano, Theresa Marriott, Angela Marriott, Deanna Marriott; great grandchildren Dominick Lesende, Zion Sander and Marcello Pineiro.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory.
In Lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Michaels Catholic Church Building Debt Fund in Garden City in honor of Dominick.

Lisa, I pray that all is good for you & family. I was so sorry to hear about your dad.. He always had something funny to say. I am sure he is resting in peace. My prayers are with the family .

Started school and all thru to High School Graduation with Dom. At his house many times. A true friend who would do anything in the world for you. Will be missed not only by his Family but by Classmates, and Fire Dept. members. I think he is now happy to be in the Lord's company and his old friend Buddy Middleton. A real pair of jokesters. Dom was an exceptional man who gave much to many. I remember the many times we talked either in his office or at my house and his stories always left me with a laugh and a warm feeling. He cared about people and showed it in all he did. He will be missed.Peekskill lost a great man.
