Dear Jack, You truly were the consummate scholar and teacher, and I will always be grateful for what you willingly and earnestly contributed toward my career. Your profound knowledge, keen insight, and exacting commentary of the financial and exchange markets kept me on my toes, daily as one of your staff. More importantly you tolerated my excessive thoroughness and redundancy in briefings by chewing eraser heads off every pencil in your reach, thus no room for my error. You also helped my prose by your exacting and fine editing. We laughed together, too, when you so perceptively put the excessives of Bureau's doings in clear perspective (sometime with amusing commentary.)
I am more than grateful for the many years we worked together and what you did for my career; God bless you and keep you, may his face shine upon you and may you find rest in his presence.
To Jack's survivors, may God bless you with courage and memories to comfort you in your grieving.
