I attended the funeral today at Abyssinian Baptist Church. I saw people whom Gil Noble had asked me numerous times if I'd known. I felt as if I'd known them as some recounted the same stories he had shared with me. Gil Noble leaves a marvelous legacy to educate and uplift people for generations to come. He leaves a loving family, adoring friends and fans.. While he will be missed, because of what he leaves behind he will never be forgotten, but will forever live on in our minds and hearts. I imagine upon entering into the gates of glory he will here "Well done, good and faithful servant. Well done!"

I attended the pre-homegoing service for Brother Gil Noble at the historic Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem last night.

His legacy and body of work will continue to inspire all toward preserving, defending and making our history.

Attended the service for Mr. Gil Noble yesterday evening in Harlem. My condolences to the Noble family. May his legacy continue to inspire us all to keep our history alive through his archives. RIP.
