My husband and i met John in 1983 we ended up staying at the same winter rental motel fishing on the Springmaid Pier that's where our friendship begain then we ended up in Murrells Inlet. John was a great friend he had a great smile a big heart and would always be there if you needed anything. To all of John's family i'm so sorry for your loss... If you need anything i'm right around the corner. But do know John is up there fishing with all that's gone before him. I will miss you John

My deepest thoughts and prayers for all of the Payne family. John was one of the most supportive and caring people I know. He has always been there to help, when needed. We had great conversations and he would make me laugh or laugh at me.
Love you John and you will be missed!
