I had the pleasure of meeting Mel while working at Jordan Care Center!! As I was reading the article and came across your name, I immediately thought of you!! You always had and kept a smile on your face and I never meet anyone with a name like yours!! THIS is because you are one of a kind and no one can replace you!! You were "Unique " Its been over 10 years since seeing you but my memories of you are strong as if I saw you everyday!! I pray your family find strength and guidance that will guide them to heal!! You brought sunshine to everyone you came in contact with and now its time for you to shine like the Angel you are!!! I love you!!!

There truly was not a brighter star then Mel was. I only had the honor of knowing her for a year, but in that year she was such an amazing friend. Mel had a gift for seeing good in any person, forgiving the wrongs done to her and a heart that wanted to heal the world. I am thankful that I was able to see her early last week and share in the joy she had for finding happiness in her new chapter of her life. I will forever feel the warm hug from that day and have all of her family in my prayers. Mel, the fire cracker she was, will be missed greatly.

Mel, you were an an angel on earth. Oh how I loved to hear you sing as you were coming down the halls with your security officer uniform on, smiling from ear to ear with a bigger than life hug for me! I miss you and will never forget you. My heart goes out to your family and all who came in contact with you...we were all blessed!!

Mel was our friend and co-worker here at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. She always sang to us in her beautiful voice and I know God has an angel in his choir. She will be missed greatly. Prayers to all of her family. I will miss her "giggle" and the fun we had. Marjorie Millsaps
