I was extraordinarily saddened to hear of the death of Jim Rowe. He was a very dear and kind friend from William Penn Senior High School in York, PA. I don't think Jim had a mean bone in his whole body. He was well liked, had a quiet but good sense of humor, was a very fine athlete, and had the sweetest smile.
I always enjoyed talking to Jim. He had a good take on the life and he was a great listener. My sympathies are extended to his family. He shall be missed by all of us who knew him in York, PA.

Jim and I met in the 7th Grade and immediately became close friends. We stayed that way all through high school. We spent most of our after-school time together on various athletic teams, and after practices and games as just best friends. I have always treasured those memories. Jim was kind, courteous, a great athlete and teammate, and always the perfect gentleman.
To Jan and Terry and all of Jim's family I send my deepest sympathy. Jim was a great guy and will be sorely missed.
