Lee S. Hatfield Sr.

Sorry to hear of Lee's passing. We were all children together in our West End Neighborhood. Deepest Regrets to Alfreda.

Dad,
I closed my eyes last night, and felt your presence. Pure love, surrounding me, in my father's loving arms. So true, so giving, so sure. Growing up, whenever we (Lee, Colleen or I) looked into your eyes, we knew in our hearts, that love looked back at us. Never wavering. I shall always and forever, call you my Hero. My father was a Prince. That much is true. A prince amongst men. Thank you GOD for letting us borrow him for so many a year. Your chains are gone, and you are free, but please, daddy, HOLD the door... for me.

Alfreda, Lee Jr. and Family, truly saddened to hear of Lee Sr. passing. I had teamed with "The Hat" on many jobs while working for AT&T/Lucent and was glad to say I knew him. Thoughts and prayers for all at this time.

Donna, Harold, Donna & Michael - I am so sorry for the loss of a man that sounded like he meant a lot to his whole family and his friends. Remember the good times and happy memories you have.

My Condolences, God Bless and Comfort all who knew my Dad,
Lee "HAT" Hatfield Sr.

Lee worked for Western Electric, part of the Bell System for many years, and in January 1976 our Family moved to Midland TX {As did a few other Families} as the area was growing, and the Northeast was slow for work.

We were made to feel welcome to the area, My dad always talked about how much he liked living in West Texas.
My Sister Sandra had severe allergy problems, while we were living in Midland; and an Allergist Doctor suggested we move back to Albany NY area, where we had moved to TX from, as she was mostly immune to the trees and plants in the Northeast.

Lee Sr and Family moved back to the Albany NY area in Jan 1978, having spent 2 very nice years in Midland TX.

{I graduated from Midland High School, and earned my Eagle Scout while in Boy Scout Troop 51 in 1976.}
