I have great memories, as a 9th grader, of that first year Scarlett was open. Groups of kids from different Junior Highs came to a new building where Mr. Mussio quickly unified us as Road Runners. His enthusiasm was contagious. He genuinely enjoyed working with our age group. My most memorable action of Mr.Mussio: Listening, through the PA system, the whole school heard the Tigers win the Pennant. What Principal would do that now?

My prayers go out to his family. Former student from the class of 1965 at Milan High School. My deepest sympathy, Linda (Ransom) Van Dusen

Mr. Mussio was my principal at Scarlett in the late 70's.He was always available for us and he was stern when he needed to be,but was always fair.Thoughts and prayers to the Mussio Family.

Caron, Bill, Steve, Jim (my cousins)

So sorry to hear of Uncle Basil's passing. Lot's of fun memories, thanks Bill for starting up that first annual family reunion in 1989 at least we got to see most of the family once a year.
Sorry we are so far away at this sad time, hugs and love to you all

Basil Mussio was an exemplary administrator and a wonderful human being. I was one of the fortunate to be able to call him friend. His smile would light up a room. I'll never forget his kindness to our family and to the school community when we lost our son. My sympathies to his family at this difficult time.
