Of course with everyone else my heart goes out to all the innocent people who died last Tuesday. But I wanted to mention the hijackers as well. I greive for their souls and for the fact that they will never have a chance to think over what they have done and realize how terrible it was and be sorry for it. I hope we will all find it in our hearts to forgive them, because the amount of planning put into the attack speaks to their belief that what they were doing was right, however terrible it really was. And I hope that in forgiving them, for they knew not what they did, we can consider their brethren, forgiving those who are sympathetic with their cause, and embracing those who are on our side. Anger and hate are natural reactions but they do not lead to a constructive end. We must teach a more respectful, peaceful philosophy to the next generation of people so nobody ever again will ever believe that terrorism is an acceptable course of action.

I am deeply saddened, as are all Americans. We have lost many lives. We have also gained a greater capacity to love. I believe that many blessings will be bestowed upon us as a nation and as inividuals as a result of this horrible act of violence. We now know how truly blessed we are to live in this great country and how deeply we care about one another.

America in my eyes stands for the land of free and the home of the brave. My heart was shattered last Tuesday September 11,2001, when I witnessed those acts of Satin. My love and prayers go out to all that grieve including myself. Those who are responsible will pay so dearly, God Bless America ! Freedom Rules!

When my father died one thought I had was, how sad that his wealth of information and experience could no longer be shared. It was if (as I said at his funeral), "A library had closed". What a tremendous loss of experience and knowledge and talent America has suffered. Not only has a library closed it was destroyed. We all suffer this loss.

September 11, 2001 was my birthday. I feel such a profound sense of sadness that the day of my birth will always be associated with the blackest day in U.S. history. I will always take pause on this day to remember those lost in this terrible tragedy and reflect. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who lost their lives and their families. May God Bless us all.
