Jimmy and I were talking a couple of days ago about Dan, and we were both wishing that he could share some of his insight with Jimmy. Dan had such a broad wealth of knowledge, and he had a passion for life...such enthusiasm! Only you could keep up with his energy, Jackie, being a marathoner/tennis star :-) He had such zest for life and threw his whole self in all he chose to do! The love, pride, and unrestrained joy he had for your beautiful boy! We all miss him so much, too. And we love you and Danny and realize anything we feel is slight in comparison to your sense of loss. I find some solace in thinking: "Can those who have passed be truly gone when their spirit is alive in those left behind?"
Love, Kathy, Jim, Jimmy, and Jenna
Dan was truely a special person. I remember first meeting him when my Alex, Nikolas, and Danny played on the same Little League team. I remember saying how I loved his great mop of hair! :) He was a wonderful man/father/friend/coach! I love you Dan and miss you terribly. Rest in Peace my friend...God Bless!
I remember Dan as a loving and doting uncle, always so excited to see his niece and nephew! My first experience with sushi was with my Uncle Dan, where I decided that I definitely didn't like fresh ginger or wasabi (but my tastes have changed over the years). I also remember him being an incredible father, always encouraging his son to reach for his dreams. You are missed, Uncle Dan!
One of the greatest Yankee fans I have ever met. Can't believe he has passed on. What an inspirational guy ! Worked for him at CHASE. We saw the 1976 Yankee pennant clincher when Chambliss hit his homer in the bottom of the 9th inning. We walked onto the field at the stadium when the game had ended. Talk about incredible memories.....
I just heard the news today. What a loss for us all. I first met Dan several years ago at the MSBL World Series, and have admired him ever since. As a contributor and advertiser in Hardball Magazine I can't tell you how much Dan has helped me as a businessman and as a person. I will never forget his friendship and courage. He taught us all how to deal with adversity. Until we meet again my friend.
