Maryalice, I am sorry to hear of your great loss. I too, like several others, am a 1971 grad of MAHS. I remember when I played CYO with St. Stans' against Jack. I was, at the time skinny and floppy haired, just the opposite of what I "grew" up to be today. I remember well both you and Jack had a very calm and gentle demeanor. He was one of Minersville's finest athletes back in our day.
I regret not seeing either one of you since we graduated so many years ago. I do get to see Jack's little brother Ron routinely, as we both work at Tredegar.
I see that Jack was a long time Navy man. My youngest son, Ramymond is currently in California training to be a Navy SEAL.
I too married my local childhood sweatheart and can't imagine the pain you must feel. But living the rest of your life remembering what you had will sustain you and keep you strong. Your children and grandchildren need that from you.
To all of the other MAHS 71'ers out there, it is nice to see you reflect your thoughts and condolences to Maryalice and her family at this time.
Stay safe and healthy, keep Mayalice and Jack in your thoughts and prayers. Live your own lives to the fullest.
Always look for the positive things each day brings and remember the great things we shared when we went to school together.
