His writing changed my life. I look up to him a lot, as an aspiring writer suffering from mental illness. I would have loved to meet him in person to thank him for everything he has done. Rest in Peace, Ned Vizzini.

Rest in peace and bliss. You are loved. Always.

Ned Vizzini's books got me through the darkest parts of my life and I only wish he could've made it as well. The world truly won't be nearly as great with him gone. But I hope that his wife and son will continue to live for him and that his son grows up reading the amazing stories that his father wove. I hope he found peace.

Ned Vizzini is one the most important people in my life. I desperately wished I could have met him. It's Kind of a Funny Story completely changed things for me. I cried the first time I read it. I deal with depression as well, and I felt the same exact things he did. He put what I was feeling into words, which I thought I never could do. He taught me that even when everything seems lost, things can get better. When I learned of his death I cried for hours. My heart goes out to his family and everyone else who loved him. Ned and his books mean the world to me. He will be deeply missed. RIP <3
