Sad to learn that Gus has passed away. He was a really nice man. Enjoyed visiting with him a couple of times in the last few years. God Bless and may he rest in peace.

Your father was a great blessing for me. I met him through Betty. We had many great times at his house and going out to eat at Dino's and Hometown Buffet. He told me his stories over and over and I enjoyed hearing them. He was a very kind and gentle man who always worried about Betty and she also worried about him. May he rest in peace.

Unkin's passing saddened me, but happy memories of him will forever live in my heart. Unkin spent hours teaching me to ride Sparky the pony. He took me to old downtown Willoughby and bought me red cowgirl boots and a red straw hat to match. And the guppies. Unkin had countless tanks on shelves in the laundry room full of guppies. He used to let me scoop the fish out with a tiny net when it was time to change the water. Even raking leaves was fun with Unkin. We sang silly songs and laughed at his stories about poisonous caterpillars. The garage smelled strongly of leather and sawdust. That's where he housed all his saddles and horse blankets. Oh, he had a beautiful garden as well. How blessed am I to have these memories and lessons I've learned from Unkin that helped shape my childhood. I only wish I could have one more "Ride Over The Bushes". Love you Unkin, Debbie

Dear janet, To think our parents lived on either side of the hill, and we never met until theater brought us together. How fortunate your mom and dad were to have a daughter like you. We're holding you in our hearts.
