Gone but not forgotten! Sorry for your loss and sorry I couldn't be there to lend support. Your wife/mother/memaw/friend was a beautiful lady who always made me feel so comfortable and accepted. What a good reminder of how to treat those we come in contact with. Till we meet again, Deb, God speed!

Mom,
You are a beautiful woman, who was so loving and hospitable to all!! Never judging, always loving and trying to give a hand to those in need. Even in all of your time struggling with your own illness, you consistently focused on others and how you could help them. You made me feel loved from our very first meeting until our very last time spent together on this Earth! I know you are watching over us now. Will miss you until we meet again! Xoxoxo

As it turns out, it was good for me to be home this week to focus on family in the Cleveland area, while my wife Marie helped family in the Philly PA area to prepare for a family move. Sometimes things just work out for the right reasons!
I found Deb Calvert's funeral services to be very meaningful and heartfelt. As for myself, being an elderly man, and over the many years of friends and family lost to death, I have found once again that the true joy of a funeral service is the focus everyone gives to the goodness of the person who has passed away. That certainly was the case in the last two days. Focusing on the rose versus the thorns as your Reverend Pastor so aptly prayed. We all need to keep these two days in mind as we focus on our own families each day.
With Love, Mike Loiacono (Julie's Dad)

Deb was an outstanding and wonderful woman that loved everyone deeply and was a great mom and wonderful wife and to me an irreplaceable friend. She had courage beyond belief that lifted many people: friends and aquaintances UP! MISSED by everyone who life she touched.
She loved to laugh ...and was a special little lady ...who I do not think she ever broke 100 lbs...seriously even thought her heart was a zillion times larger than her ..... C_YA in Heaven DEB, Shar !!
