Sally,Ned,Julie and family ... so sorry for your loss ... Fritz was one of the nicest, funniest and captivating men that I have ever met Though our friendship with him and all of the family is short in years he will be permanently etched in our memories as a true friend. We hope this finds you all healing in every way and remembering what he meant to all of us. You are in our prayers and thoughts ... wishing you all the best until we can see you ...

Mrs Overs, Ned and Julie- I am so so sorry for your loss! I have nothing but good memories of Dr Overs. I went to school with Ned and Julie and I have thought of you both over the years. Hold on tight to those you love and remember he will always be with you! May your love and memories help you all to heal. God bless to you all. Joan Monachino Esterhay.
Dr. Overs was my Honors English teacher at Bedford High School in 1965. To this day, he is remembered as one of the favorite teachers we "students" ever had! On facebook just recently someone from the time period of 1964-1967 posted the question asking who our favorite English teacher had been. Dr. Overs name came up many times, after all these years! He was wonderful, brilliant, kind, and made us want to learn. We obviously never forgot him. I am so sorry for your loss.
Our sympathy to family and friends. We will always have fond memories of Fritz from seeing him at his home in Shorelands, at the Chautauqua Golf Club, or in his Mayville office. We will miss our friend, Fritz.

Dear Sally, Ned, Julie, family and friends,
We are saddened to hear of Fritz's death. He was such a good guy with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye, he would greet every Painesville City employee. He supported the kids and staff by coming to events. We were so excited to run into him in Canton, OH just before Basketball Regionals. We also happened to drive by his NY home and he insisted we come in. He was always so gracious and made others feel better. He was a good Superintendent and good man.
With deepest sympathy. Love, Jim and Debby Dayton

On behalf of the Board of Education, Administration, and Staff at Painesville City Local Schools, I send our sympathy, prayers, and heartfelt sadness upon the passing of Dr. Overs.
We knew Fritz only in his retirement. Always cheerful. Always left you smiling. We Chautauqua golfers will miss him.
I am very saddened to hear of Fritz's passing. I have missed seeing him at the golf course and often wondered if he was okay. You both were a pleasure to work with when we installed your stamped walkways at your house and I know he even helped us get some other jobs. But most important to me was he always had a smiling face anytime I saw him. When I was at the golf course or anywhere else, I will always miss that. My heart goes out to you and your family and I will never forget his smile and kindness. God Bless you and your family through this difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
My deepest sympathy to the family. Not only was he the superintendent when I was in school he proudly and personally handed me my diploma when I graduated. Being a close neighbor he made me wonder if in fact I would graduate on time or even graduate at all. I am sure he kept my parents wondering also. Always a smile whether we were at school or while he was supporting us in one of our sports endeavors. Always seem to supports us students and neighbors.
Dear Sally, It is with much sadness that I read of Fritz's passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. We have had some nice times throughout the years when we were together. Peace be with you and your children.
I had the privilege of teaching under his leadership. Dr. Overs was always committed to Painesville City Schools. He was a gentleman who treated the students and teachers with respect. My sympathies to his family.
Our thoughts are with your family. It has been years since we have seen you but we wanted to let you know that you are in our thoughts at this difficult time. We are thankful for some great memories.
