George Quellhorst George Quellhorst, 77, a 35 year resident of Painesville and formerly of Tucson, Ariz, passed away at his home on April 8, 2013. He was born January 4, 1936, in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He was a member of Painesville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed computers, science fiction and working with his hands. He retired in 2007 from newspaper delivery. Mr. Quellhorst served in the United States Army as well as the Dutch Army. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Hoffacker); his children, George Jr. (Beth Kaplan), Eric, Casey (Jennifer) and Heidi. He also leaves his grandchildren, Amanda Thompson and Brittany Quellhorst; and his sister. He was preceded in death by his father Jan; and a brother. A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at the Painesville United Methodist Church, 71 N. Park Place, Painesville. Mother Vanessa Clark, Rector of St. James Episcopal Church in Painesville will officiate the service. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Painesville United Methodist or St. James Episcopal Church. Online guest book at www.johnsonfuneralservices.net.
