Mr Hedrick was Vice Principal of my Highschool. In those days PC was less of a concern than telling us students "straight up" what was accepted and expected. I always respected Frank. He was a great role model, even if some didn't appreciate it the time. Rest in peace sir. Be proud you did it right. My last respects, Brian MacDonald 1976

Frank was a bona fide Southern gentleman who bestowed his joie de vivre on everyone he met and in every role he played: loving brother/husband/father/and grandfather; proud and brave Navy veteran; gifted teacher; passionate dancer; indefatigable tennis player; committed community citizen; and dear, loyal, helpful and very funny friend. We will miss him terribly, and we will always cherish the memories of our time together. With our love and deepest sympathy: Pat, Trish and JeanClaude, and all of our family.

He taught college classes for adult, non-traditional students at our county high school that I was lucky to attend one semester. For our last class, he brought recorded music from countries all over Europe. He also brought slides from many of the places he lived abroad. He left a vivid never-to-be-forgotten memory for all. He was blessed with the gift of loving life to the fullest. I would say to the family not to grieve, because he's dancing all around heaven as we speak.

Frank was the ultimate example of living in the moment and finding joy there! He found it and he spread it around infecting all who knew him. I won't forget his wonderful lightness of being. He will be missed.

Saddened to see this. Frank Silver Hedrick was my assistant basketball coach for three years. Lots of fond memories and a lifetime of laughter with this man. Prayers for the family.

May you Rest in Peace Frank knowing that you were the life of the party and a ray of sunshine to all you encountered. You will be missed my friend, and like all the tennis players would remember you saying on the tennis court, "Five-All." Love and Blessings until we meet again, Veronica
