Susan, it is fitting that you should recall the anecdote of Gordon...reading daily the New York
Times obituaries. It is also fitting that we would today be left with a smile on our faces thinking of him and how his face was permanently etched with smile lines. I can just see him, sitting on his cloud, exclaiming "At last, I made the NYT obits!!"

(Not being subscribers of the NYT, maybe we should start!)

I only knew Gordon from his painting trips to,Colorado, meeting him 5 years ago through Carol,Andreyev. My most vivid memories of Gordon was (1) the whopper Martini he made for me once...which left me with a two hour buzz...and (2) the time I thought he was wearing his sweatshirt inside out by mistake, to,which he replied with a droll smile, "Not so. It was intentional. I paint in it this way and then show up for supper with it right side out."

We will all miss our dear friend, Gordon....who is now the missing Link.
