One of my most favorite teachers ever! Thank you Doc for believing in me and pushing me to admit what I already knew!
I had Dr. for a brief time in 10th grade as an Algebra Teacher at New Smyrna Beach Sr High before I changed to an easier Math class. From the short time I had him he was a very good teacher and very nice man. RIP Dr.
Dr.Outterson was my post-grad masters advisor some 40 years ago at Stetson. I remember him as a nice, good person. I'm glad he enjoyed a wonderful, full life. He touched many people. RIP
Doc was a longtime political mentor to me along with the Honorable Dave Smith. I recall many conversations when I lived in DeLand

Doc Outterson was one of my all time favorite teachers. He always encouraged us to think for ourselves and challenge what we thought were our limits. He was a great man who had a strong influence on many young people. My condolences to your family. I am so sorry for your loss.
