JOHN WILLIAM "BILL" BRANDNER

John William "Bill" Brandner, 75, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012. As first generation college graduate from Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY, Bill began his notable 40 year business career as CPA with Arthur Anderson and subsequently CFO and CEO of Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, American Integrity and D- Tek. Bill is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen Brandner; his five children, son John "Jack" Brandner Jr., son Robert Scott Brandner and wife Laurie, daughter Kathleen Robinson and husband John, daughter Peggyann Curcio and husband James, daughter Jill Mollenhauer, step-daughter Kristine Gerdes; his brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Roseann Brander, and two neices; and 11 grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Scottie, Molly, Jake, Tyler, Jack, Meg, Annie, Maddie and Kyle. Bill and Karen enjoyed traveling the globe, singing in their church choir, boating, dining out, reading and attending weekly movies with friends. Bill was commited to his volunteer work with AARP assisting Seniors with tax preparation. A gourmet cook, Bill published his own cook book-given only to select friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held at Coronado Community United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2012, reception immediately following.
