Joanne Carolyn Baxter

Joanne Carolyn Baxter, 75, of Ormond Beach, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2018. Joanne was born on March 25, 1943 in Hyannis, MA. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Charles and Alda Baxter and brother, Charles Baxter. Joanne was a graduate of Barnstable (MA) High School and received an Associate's Degree from Cape Cod Community College. She had a lengthy career in the restaurant industry and most recently worked for the Olive Garden restaurant in Daytona Beach. Joanne was a dedicated daughter, sister, and aunt. She was loved by her family, friends and coworkers and will be dearly missed. Joanne was fun-loving and enjoyed traveling to visit family. She was also very fond of the many pets she owned over the years. Survivors include her sister Mary Seeman and husband Aubrey of Pierson, sister-in-law, Rosemarie Baxter of Marstons Mills, MA, three nephews, two nieces and several great nieces and nephews, and her dear lifelong friend Karen Anderson and husband Andy of Centerville, MA. Services are Saturday, July 14, 2:00 pm at Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd., Orange City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Halifax Humane Society.
