I am delighted to have known Joe and call him my friend. I met him in a spiritual study group. I loved his humor, his resonant bass voice, and his gentle way of looking at life.
I was fortunate to spend some time with him during his illness. He approached his transition with quiet courage and a deep peace. We will miss you Joe, but know that you are in joy.

Uncle Joe was very special to me. I will always remember his sense of humor he could always make me laugh. He will be missed but we all have great memories of him. I heard a quote once " When someone you love becomes a memory the memory becomes a treasure" He will be remembered! Our thoughts and prayers go out to Aunt Martha and Jimmy. Love from Michigan Kathy

I struggled with what to say about Uncle Joe in this final good bye. A lot of thoughts went through my mind. Joe Geary was more than an uncle to me. He was a father figure to me during my early teenage years. On more than one occasion he kept me on the straight and narrow. At the time I didn't know why it was so important for me to have my shoes shined or my hair cut. Looking back, it wasn't about the shoes or the hair, it was about personal pride and behavior. Thanks Uncle Joe!

When Uncle Joe lived with us I was attending a school that required a coat and tie. He had the most beautiful pink and blue tie I had ever seen. I would wait until he had left for work and If he had not worn the tie I would. I wore the tie more that he did. He caught me one day and give me holy hell. But as he walked away, I thought a I saw a slight smile on his face, typical Uncle Joe.

Uncle Joe was the kind of guy your wanted to grow up to be like. He was tall, handsome, confident, easy going, and could charm the socks off a snake. Looking back over his life he had more character and self-discipline than a lot of us realized. My only regret is that I never told him how I felt, but knowing Uncle Joe I think he knew.

He and Martha came to visit his Sister, my mon, Margaret, in May of 2016. At the time I had a bad feeling that it might be the last time I would see him. Unfortunately, I was right. Rest in peace Joe, You are in my prayers until I join you.

What words can I use to describe Mr. Joe Geary?? While choosing a sympathy card for his family, all sentiments combined from all cards might come close. Meeting Joe was special. He never forgot my name, our last conversation, my hopes. He always hugged and kissed, smiled and laughed and conversed about any and all things. Joe provided support, love, happiness, joy. You know he lives on...in every blade of grass that pops through the earth, in every birdsong, every breeze and sun's ray. What a wonderful soul. What a beautiful friend to all. How's that?

Joe, was 5yrs older than me. I was the youngest. We spent a lot of time together as kids. After. he moved to Fla. we stayed in contact by phone. While I miss Joe, I have some very nice memories that will be my connection. Those and my dear sister-in-law Martha. As Bob Hope always said thanks for the memories Joe. Love, Theresa

With deepest gratitude that I was able to spend quality time with dad,(Joseph Geary), in his last days on this earth. Survived by his loving son Jim Geary and his devoted wife Martha Geary. They were a very close knit family that did a lot of fun stuff together throughout life. Joe was at peace with his life and all that he had accomplished. They were like the three muscateers conquering the world together.
It was an honor to know Joe and his wisdom. His relationship with nature and people. A lesson to remember that time is short, take time for LOVE!
