This is quite a shock, I just found out about Larry passing. I am nearing retirement and was planning on moving back to central FL in a couple of years. I was hoping to hook up with Larry again after many yrs. of not seeing him. I am not sure if Linda or Lisa remember me but I do remember them. I spent many hrs. day and night working with Larry to build the yellow corvette funny car. I still have pictures of the two of us building it in the garage of the duplex in Longwood. He was with his girlfriend Lisa at the time, she is in some of the pictures. I think I even still have a photo of him and Linda Vaughn "Miss Hurst Golden Shifter" at a car show we took it to inorder to collect appearance money . Would very much like to hear from either of his sisters Linda, and Lisa, also I remember a few times when his daughter Nikki ( hope I spelled it right) would come and visit.

Linda, I just found out about Larry's death. It is hard to believe he is gone. I wish I would have known because I would have attended the funeral. What I remember about Larry is the 13 years that we had together. He was the most generous and kind man I had ever met. He took me to the beach almost every weekend and to the Caribbean every summer. He was such fun to be with because he made friends with everyone. He loved working on the "Cobra" and taking it to "Old Town" to ride it in their parade. I enjoyed going to the races and watching him race "Blackie" and the "PT Cruiser." He was so talented and creative when it came to working on cars. I know you all miss him, but I bet there is someone in heaven that needs a race car built!!

I too own a PT Cruiser Drag Racecar with a Chrysler Pro Stock motor here in England. Built mine in 2000 about the same time as Larry. Tim Maines the announcer at Orlando Speedworld hooked us up. Larry and I have been firm friends ever since. My condolences to Larry's family, what can you say? Gone too soon, Larry was a great guy, a true friend. I always looked Larry up on the many ocassions i was over, we went out and had lunch or went to the racetrack and just hung out for the rest of the day with him. I will miss the big guy, he was a one off. God speed my friend.

Larry, may God's grace shine upon you. I know you are up there smiling, and bumping into the beams right now. We spent a lot of time together over the years, and exchanged a lot of stories. You taught me a lot, and I will never forget you as every time I walk into my garage I see your work. God bless you my friend, and Godspeed.
