Lewis Hudson was my Dad, Junior Odom's best friend. He was like a second dad to me. We all went fishing almost every weekend, had fish fries, steamed oysters and lots of laughs and dancing. His daughter Suzie and son Van and I were attached at the hip, best of friends. All his children love him dearly as do I. He is missed but never forgotten and I am sure that he and my dad are sitting in a boat fishing and laughing about all of their shananagans throughout their lives!

I am not sure where to start. Lewis Hudson came to Daytona Beach with his best buddy Junior Odom. They were friends for approximately 74 years until my dads passing. I grew with Bonnie Lewis's daughter and we were in so many activities together. In fact, one thing Lewis and Lo Ann and my parents thought was a good idea to teach Bonnie and me was how to smoke. Picture two girls at the age of 10 years old being shown how to pull on a green cigar, it wasn't a pretty picture. I have never smoked, and to this day I still don't smoke. Lewis was my dads best friend and was there in the bad times with the loss of my mom and the good times. I will miss him and I did talk with him last year and it took him awhile but I told him who I was and Juniors daughter and then the light bulb came on and he remembered. We had a great talk and I wished him well and told him I talked with dad and mom every day. He said he missed dad. I will remember him fondly and all the wonderful times we had while I grew up. Thank you, Lewis, for all
you did for me and my dad while we were together. May you rest in peace and give dad hell for leaving so early in life and not growing old with you. You will be so missed by me and your family. I hope Bonnie if you read this how sorry I am for you to lose your dad. He was in your life for a long time and you were so lucky. Tish, I am sorry for your loss of your best friend and you know he is there with you and will be forever. He loved you so much! I guess I have said enough. I am truely sorry I didn't get to talk to you two last Christmas but I called and left messages. I sent a card and just today found out it went to the business. I hope you got cards and the messages I left. I would like to send a card if you would just send me your address. Bonnie if you read this please write me on facebook. To the family please accept my condolences for your loss. Sincerely, Georgia Odom Mills
