I still remember having talks with you about discipline and new soldiers, pacing down the sidewalk behind the battery toward our cars well after the sun had set a little over a year ago. I can't find the words to describe the void left by hearing of your death. One of my brothers I lived, worked, slept, and served with for over 6 years. Everything I try to write just feels cheap in comparison to the effect you had on everyone around you. You are missed and loved, brother. Rest in peace.
