Joseph Ciccone Obituary

Joseph James Ciccone, Sr, 68, of Edgewater, died Thursday, March 6, 2014 with his family by his side. He was affectionately known as "Snoopy". Joseph was born October 5, 1945 in Providence,
Rhode Island. He joined the U.S. Army and served his country during the Vietnam Era. Joseph and his wife, Sandra came to this area in 1991 from Rhode Island to enjoyed retirement. He enjoyed working on motorcycles, was an avid NASCAR fan and loved cooking for his family and friends. He loved to be the "Life of the Party". People who knew him knew he was a kindhearted, giving, and loving man. Joseph was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandra on March 7, 2013 and his son, Billy in 2007. He is survived by his children Daniel Ciccone, Hal Ciccone, Angela Moreno and Joseph, Jr; grandchildren, Carissa, Daniel, Michael, Anthony, Nicholas, Joshua, Nichole, Danielle, Salvatore, Sophia, Victoria; great grandchildren, Brianna and Xaiver; and sister, Marie. A life celebration will be held 5-7PM, Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach. Even though we didn't know him as well as others, Mr. Ciccone was always a pleasure to wait on at the credit union. He was always in a good spirits despite his limited mobility, and even surprised us by bringing us lovely poinsettias at Chrismas time. We will miss seeing him!! Sincere condolences to the family.
As a neighbor we shared a few pleasant conversations with Joe and Sandy and had a few laughs.We also spoke about our families which was enjoyable.
It was a pleasure to have such good neighbors. They will be surely missed.
