Randall Vermilio Obituary

Randall Lee Vermilio was born December 28, 1954 in Vincennes, Indiana. He was 63 & 360 days old at the time of death. He was well known as Bear because he wrestled with a bear at a carnival (he lost). He was also known as RV. Randy attended college at Ball State majoring in Hospitality. He and his mother ran a restaurant in Louisville. Randy was a star basketball and football player. Even in his 30's he played basketball in the area Hoop it Up teams. Randy loved to cook, everyone wanted his barbeque. He loved fishing with his son and friends. He loved all sports and baseball (Cardinals). He could name any major sports player and any musicians. Randy worked in Orlando at Contractor Building Supply Co. He then worked at Dolfin Building & Material Company with Buzz, who he always called his brother. He was Operation Manager at Dolfin Building & Material in Daytona and was then promoted to Branch Manager in Palm Coast at Dolfin Building & Material. Randy was loved by all that knew him He is survived by his wife Leslie and son Michael. Randy loved his son Michael with all his heart. After suffering from a long illness for 2 1/2 years he was taken to the Lord on December 24, 2017. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 12pm with a Memorial Service at 1pm at River City Church 267 East Highbanks Road DeBary, Florida 32713. Arrangements are being handled by Altman-Long Funeral Home www.altman-long.com
