Though I rarely saw you as we became adults, I do have great memories of all the jokes and conversations we had as youngsters. May you be at peace. Sonja Blazetic

My condolences to the family. I have known Russ most of my life from grade school up and he was truly a tell it like it is stand up kind of guy. He will surely be missed.

You will be sincerely missed. I pray for your family, friends, and everyone who met you. You were loved and cherished and left too soon. God bless you and especially those left behind.

Incredibly sad. We will miss him! To his surviving family, I would like you to know how Russell touched lives of my family. Through our stomachs, of course!
It all started when Russell offered meals for busy families through our childrens' dojo and my wife took him up on his offer. Delightfully delicious! I never thought a plastic bag filled with spaghetti could be 4-star cuisine but Russell managed it, somehow! And his chicken breasts, OMG! Tender, moist and flavorful. We had given up on Chicken Breasts in our household as dry, chalky, nasty meats. Russell showed us that this wasn't necessarily true, LOL! And our children would rave about it, asking if we were going to have "Mr. Russ' Chicken".
This "secret method" to preparing chicken breasts so intrigued my wife and I that we arranged a Saturday cooking session at his house so that he could teach us the technique. And so he did. We have since prepared Chicken Breast in our household many, many times, a la "Mr. Russ" and his name is spoken aloud (in gratitude) **every time**.
So, on behalf of my family, I want you to know that your Son/Brother/Husband/Daddy has touched our lives in a very positive way and that he lives on through us. I know that this memory is a very small thing and can never replace his loss. It is my family's hope that our gift gives you something unique to add to your collection of cherished memories. God bless you and give you comfort! Now, who's hungry for Chicken Breast a la Mr. Russ!?!?!
