Dennis Alexander Faulk, 93, of Port Orange, Florida passed peacefully from this life on March 6, 2014. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Betty, as well as his loving daughter Denise Fernandez (Al), sister Barbara Kisling (Paul), brothers Rudolf Faulk, and Harry Faulk (Barbara). His surviving grandchildren include A. J. Fernandez (Jamie), and Abigail Hollar (Julian). Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Lillian and Victor Faulk as well as siblings Joe, Charles, Calvin and Pansy. Dennis was born on October 3, 1920 in Bolton, Tennessee. As a member of the Greatest Generation, he served his country with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II. After the war, Dennis entered the University of Tennessee (Memphis) were he was a member of Phi Delta Chi fraternity. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and became a became a registered pharmacist. Dennis married Helen Elizabeth "Betty" Jones on June 11, 1950 and relocated to Daytona Beach in 1954. He ultimately became Director of Pharmacy at Halifax Health where he held that position for over 28 years. Dennis was active in a number of local organizations over the years, including serving as Past Captain of the Daytona Beach Quarterback Club, Past-President of the University Club, and a Charter Member of the Checkered Flag Committee at the Daytona International Speedway, as well as many other organizations. A service celebrating Dennis' life is scheduled for Friday March 14, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. at the Lohman ~ Daytona Funeral Home, located at 1423 Bellevue Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114 with Reverend Jim Smith presiding over the service. Dennis hired me in 1974 as a Pharmacy tech at the age of 19 at Halifax. To him, I owe a lot because it's now 40 years later and I'm still here. May you rest in peace, Dennis and thank you again. LuAnne Skiver
