I had only known Dick and Clara for a couple of months but I was very happy I had the opportunity to care for Dick. He was an amazing man from what I was able to see. And Clara is a pretty amazing woman. I will miss seeing the Horton family so often. They will truly be missed at the Veterans Home! And thank you Clara for giving me the opportunity to get to know both you and Dick.

There's something to be said for being clairvoyant. The Horton family has been on my mind a LOT lately and now I know why. I felt it :( I was on a call just last week and was asked "Where did you pick up that Sales acumen? Is anybody in your family in Sales"? I initially said no, and then said... Well, I remember "Dad" could sell ice to an Eskimo ! Maybe it rubbed off (long story for another time and place). I don't remember a lot sometimes, but I'll always remember that he said "a smile goes a long way in this business and in life"....my very first Sales trainer and I didn't even know it! 30 + years later, that impact is still very much felt. I remember his smiles, his love for family and foreigner and dessert :)Ben posted on FB last night that he was a great father and a great man. To that I say.... True that... True That! He will always be remembered. To "Mom", and the entire Horton Family, sending LOTS of hugs, love, prayers and peace, from Liberia, by way of Delaware.(There's a sotry there too... for another time and place). Sorry we can't be there tomorrow, but know that we are there in Spirit, and God willing, will be there in body before year's end. Love, T&B
