Harry G. Haslag
Harry G. Haslag, 92, Springfield, passed away Thursday March 20, 2014.
He was born on September 21, 1921 in Loose Creek, Mo to Frank and Josephine (Kremer) Haslag. Harry served in the Navy during World War II.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Joseph Haslag, Herman Haslag, Mathilda Sommers and Anna Schmitz.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Haslag; children, Robert Haslag, and his wife Stephanie, Rebecca Zilm, and her husband John, and Joseph Haslag, and his wife Sara; six grandchildren, Randall Hawkins, Morgan Koenig, Devin LaPlant, Elizabeth Goebel, Stephen Haslag and Peter Haslag; 3 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 in St. Agnes Cathedral with Fr. Mike McDevitt celebrant under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. today in the funeral home with Rosary services starting at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Cathedral, 533 S. Jefferson Springfield, MO 65806.
