In recent years I didn't see Uncle Pete as often. I would see him at their Anniversary celebrations, funerals, and the brief time he spent at Woodland Manor. When I was younger I have fond memories of visiting him at their farm. Racine and I would go with him to visit all his farm animals!
When I graduated from High School, Pete was running the station where he also sold some concrete statuary. I always admired a hillbilly statue he had there, so that became my graduation gift! I still have that statue 37 years later!
I loved my Uncle Pete, and will miss him! My prayers, along with my husband Kevin's, are with the family.
