A light to remind us that Donna will always be shining on us.

I am honored to possess some of Donnas' treasures, her finding on her fossil adventures. One is very special …. As I turned 50 years of age, Donna gave me a small container containing small treasures with the words “When you are feeling old, hold these gems in your hands, they are a million years old”. That made my special day complete! There were many such days sharing Donna infectious laugh, her peaceful demeanor. You will be missed, my friend, but not forgotten.

As a former student and math "wizard" of Mrs. Johnson at Suncoast Middle during the 1980's, I remember her enthusiasm, and patient encouragement she gave her students. She was the first teacher who really made me feel confident about doing math. She is long remembered and will be missed.

I was just thinking about Mrs. Johnson the other day. She was quite a Math teacher. She struck the right chord between demanding and approachable, and strived to make each of us feel important. Each year, I aim to recreate the tone she set in the classroom. Thank you for inspiring me in ways you'll never know.

Donna brought a light to all those whose lives she touched. Her family, students and friends all had a special blessing through being part of her life. She will be missed.

I miss you dear friend. I was truly blessed to count you as a good friend. We shared many common interests. I will miss your smile and your infectious laughter. You were there for me in more ways than I can count. Those memories of you will live on in my heart forever.

My dearest friend, I will miss you so! You made our world a better place.

Donna and I both came to Suncoast Middle School the same year. Even though we taught different grades, we taught the same subject which was math. Suncoast had one large faculty room, so we all got to know each other very well which made our faculty more like a family. Donna was a great family member; always energetic; full of creative ideas; helpful to her fellow teachers; and a wonderful gift to her students. I enjoyed working with Donna in the math department.
I was disappointed when Donna left Suncoast, but her new opportunities were exciting and she seemed very happy. I was able to keep track of her until the late 1990's. Then I did not see her again until a few months ago when she joined a few of us retired teachers for lunch. I was excited to see her and so glad she was going to be able to meet with us monthly for lunch. I was looking forward to renewing my friendship with her. Before our next lunch, she was in the hospital and we did not meet again.
Donna was so much more than this obituary or the even the wonderful comments written in this Guest Book. Her legacy is how she affected each one of our lives and how those affects live on in all of us lucky enough to have known her at various times in her life.
I'm glad I got to see you one more time after losing touch for about 12 years. I will miss you, Donna. You are in God's hands now, and He promises no pain or suffering. Praise be to Him.

I will always feel blessed to have known Donna, even though it was for only a few years. She was warm, smart, endlessly curious and energetic, upbeat, and always thinking of others before herself. Thank you, Donna, for your generous friendship. You will be missed by many.
