DOROTHY MENDES KRUKENBERG
March 12, 2013
Dorothy (51) was born July 1, 1961 in Brooklyn, N.Y. to Carol Siferd of Ft. Myers, FL & Norman Mendes of Delaware, Ohio who survive her.
Dorothy lived the majority of her life in Ohio where she married and became the mother of her 2 wonderful girls, Leah (Russell) Bryant & Jennifer (Jesse) Ratleff. Her delight in and love for her grandchildren, Tre Connor, Alison & Kayla Bryant & Kiley Ratleff was unbounded. She is also survived by her beloved brothers Mark Mendes & Michael Benson of Ohio and Neil Mendes of Texas and their loving families.
Dorothy had a successful career as a banker & branch manager for JP Morgan Chase. We are grateful for the care & concern they showed her until the end.
Her love for her friends was almost as great as her love of family, which they returned in abundance.
She spent the final portion of her life at the home of Joe Gayton and her mother in Fort Myers and the last month under the tender care of the staff at Hope Hospice, Cape Coral.
Dorothy had a degree as a para-legal from the Lima Tech in Ohio and attended All Faith Unitarian Congregation in Ft. Myers.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13 @ 3:00 P.M. at All Faith Unitarian Congregation
