Barb always treated me like her own sister rather than a sister in law and we lovingly had nicknames for each other. Her's was Barbarooni. Mine Debarooni. She had the biggest most generous heart and was very giving and had ways to make you feel special. We enjoyed shopping and going out to lunch and always had something to laugh about. We had beach trips and tried out different martinis when it was just us two at the beach. Barb was funny and the stories she could tell would always crack me up or shock me. Sometimes Barb it was just TMI. I know you just liked to get a reaction out of me and when you did you would roll laughing. Barb had a decorators talent she could visualize how a room could be decorated and when she would finish with fixing it up it was beautiful just like out of a magazine. She just had the ability to turn a bland room into one of beauty on a limited budget. I was always so jealous of that talent of hers. I sit here with a heavy heart knowing no longer will I get another email from her. I know she is in heaven making others feel special right now. Barb you left this world too soon. I think you could have found another dozen or so cats to take in and care for before you left. Barb was a animal lover and if you were one of the lucky ones to get to live with her as your Mommy you were spoiled too. She always had a bag of red licorice so the pooches could get one piece before they went to bed.
Barb thanks for the love you bestowed upon my children. Thanks for making them feel special. Your acts of kindness will never be forgotten. Thanks for the holiday meals that were so delicious and for the summer steak dinners and for making Christmas at your house special for us all. I can't end this without telling you to behave yourself up there. Love you Barbarooni. RIP Sister.

May you rest in peace. You have left behind so many wonderful memories. You were always able to laugh with and at yourself and even in difficult times bring joy. As a brother-in-law you always welcomed me into the family. I loved listening to you and Penny tell stories about growing up and the fun that you, Penny and Rusty had with each other . There was always three sides to the stories
I will always love and miss you

My sister Barbara was someone who loved and looked at the world differently. She had the soul of an artist and it showed in many aspects of her life. She loved color all around her. The changes of the seasons, the beauty of nature and the beauty of the people around her. When she was little we called her "little gypsy" for the flamboyant outfits she would put together. She always shined like the stars, always beautiful.
Barb alway made me laught at myself. She could get me to see the laughter and beauty instead of the saddest and darkness. I wish she were here now. I need that laughter. I love you Barb. You are one of the brightest stars in heaven and I will look for you nightly.

Barbara Francois was my sister-in-law for thirty-eight years. She blessed my brother with her very presence. In recent years she has struggled with her own health issues while seeing him through rough times. They were seldom apart. It is my prayer now that her spirit will give him strength and that each day forward he will honor her with faith and courage, knowing that in God's good time they will be reunited in His presence.
May you, Dusty and Cissy, find good memories that bring you peace. And dear, dear Penney, she loved you so; thank you for your steadfast loyalty.
