As a child, growing up without a father and being a friend of his daughter, Lenora, he was a wonderful father-figure for me. I remember his kindness and him sitting in his chair, reading the Bible. I was very blessed to know him and his beloved family. He is now with his Heavely Father, where he belongs. Sincerely, Pamela Oldham Pressgrove
I had lots of fun with Scoop back in the days of Fr. Goggin. We were in many on-stage skits and it was always a lot of fun with Scoop & Carol. What a wonderful man and a strong figure in the community. Much celebrating to do upon his entrance into Heaven!
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Kiesel family. I worked with Scoop many years ago when I was beginning my career with juvenile justice. He was a mentor and a friend.
I to was associated in the shrimp industry with Captain Scoop. I admired and respected him as a friend. Sincerely, Joe Maier and family.
Although we have been out of touch for many years, he was in my thoughts and prayers. He and I worked together daily for several years with the State of Florida. My prayers go out to his family. He was a wonderful man and will be missed. Gloria Powley and family
With the updated obit, I just now realized that this is "Scoop" the father, not his son that I knew at Bishop Verot H.S. I apologize for the error, but with the family well during this difficult time.
I met "Scoop" during my empoyment as Supevisor of Juvenile Clerk's Division..This man was a perfect example of what a person is here on earth for...He was always gracious, caring and loving to all those he was around....Especially great with the youth that he came in contact with....I am very sure he has a special place in heaven and is in great favor with the great "I AM" ...gerane Beckler
Deacon Scoop will be dearly missed at Bible Study. We will miss his wisdom and stories of Fort Myers Beach and the Holy Land. Rest in Peace dear friend.
I remember Scoop (and Lenora, who was in my class) from Bishop Verot High School back in the 60's. I'm very sorry to learn of his passing and wish his family well during this difficult time.
