Jean, I just got an email from Peggy telling me of the sudden death of Monroe. My heart goes out to you and your family. I hope the wonderful memories of the love you shared helps you through this sad time. Lois Boandl Schneider, Long Beach, CA
Dear Mrs. Peter,
I am a friend of your daughter Peggy, and I just learned of the loss of your dear Monroe. I would like to express my sympathy and I will be saying a prayer for you and all of Monroe's loved ones. Peggy has kept me quite entertained over the years with tales of you and your husband and what a wonderful life you were able to share.
It was easy to tell just by listening how much you all loved him and what a special part of the family he was.
God Bless You

Thanks to all for your kind words and condolences. As you may know, my gramps was a kind man who led by example. I was fortunate to be able to be positively influenced by him throughout my life. Take comfort in the fact that we were able to spend 3-4 days as a family with him in his final week in FL. He was surrounded by his friends, his Pastor along with his wife Jean, his daughter Diane, his step-daughter Peggy and his grandchildren Stacey and Geoff. We all told stories and reminisced with him about the wonderful life he lead and how he impacted all of our lives. He will truly be missed and remembered fondly. Love you gramps!

Jean and family, we are so very sorry to hear that Monroe passed away. He was such a very nice man, and a good friend. Jeff and I used to love to visit and shoot pool with Monroe. I'll never forget his smile when he played a game whether he won or lost, never made a difference to him. He just enjoyed the company and having fun. I know how he loved his garden and being out on his land doing things. He was never one to sit around, he loved life and lived it to it's fullest. Such wonderful memories we'll always have of him will keep him in our hearts, and he will never be forgotten. You are in our thoughts and prayers
