I grew up with Gary in Fullerton. My dad was Gary's first baseball coach in Little League. I remeber at a practice Gary showing up with a 32 ounce bat. Most everybody used 28 or 29. My dad told Gary if you can hold that bat straight out in front of you for 1 minute you can use that bat. Gary stood there for 5 minutes holding that bat out in the air. My dad finally look at him and said you can use any bat you want Gary. This is when he was only 8 years old. Then during High School we went to different schools, but would still keep in touch with him. I remeber during high school days he worked at Marie Calendar's Pie as a cook in Fullerton. So many many memories of the KID. RIP Gary I will see you again one day.
