American folklore calls a great man "Good as gold". Italian folklore calls a great man "Good as bread". This man represents both traditions.

September 13, 2013. Angelo often spoke of a young boy, Miguel, from Guatemala, of whom Angelo was so proud. Young Miguel is a boy who Angelo sponsored, through a private foundation, so that Miguel could finish his education and learn a trade to support himself and his family. Angelo beamed with joy when he received photographs and letters from Miguel, and drawings by him. The correspondence over the years was a source of great happiness for Angelo. After Angelo passed, Miguel, his mother and his aunt sent heart warming letters to Priscille, in which they expressed their deep sympathy, condolences and gifts of prayers for Angelo and Priscille.

May 4th, 2013 will be the third anniversary of my brother, Ange's death. The beautiful sentiments expressed here and the photo gallery help to ease the pain of loss.
Thanks to all who have been such a support over these past three years to our family. Knowing that death is the doorway to a new life, one where there will be " no more pain, no more sorrow" gives us hope. Looking forward to the day when we will all be reunited once more.

Dad,

Compiling this book in your memory has been a great source of consolation for me. I do miss you terribly. Thank you again and again for so many things. I have to move on now...I know that's the way you would have it. I will see you on the other side...but not too soon, I hope!

I remember the time that I was about 9 years old. Grandpa and my Dad were sitting on Grandpa's porch watching me play on the tailgate of my Dad's truck. The tailgate was up. I was sitting on top of it and playing with the latch. Grandpa yelled out "Don't touch that!" I touched it, not realizing that it would open the tailgate. I went falling off the truck onto the street pavement, hitting my head. After Grandpa realized I was okay, he yelled out "Took alot of brains to do that, John!." It was pretty funny and everyone had a good laugh, except for me. Grandpa.....thanks for being such a funny guy. Love, John Angelo

When Angelo prays, he says -

O Most Heavenly Father, look down on your humble servants and shower us with your infinite and merciful love, and grant us the grace and strength of the Holy Spirit that we may open our hearts and share your infinite love, with all that we live, work, and meet in our daily lives, and grant this through your Son, and our Lord Jesus Christ now and forever. Amen

Your smile was full of energy, unconditional love, friendship, warmth, generosity and humor. I will always treasure the moments that I spent in your presence. Each one of them a treasured gift because you valued life and with every breath that you took I could see the truth, wisdom and honesty that placed you in such an esteemed position within your family, career and friendships. It's no surprise to me that Danny is walking, I knew that your passing on would include many miracles. And one last thing, you also have given me the most treasured of all gifts because your beautiful daughter is my best friend forever. I miss you and every now and then I catch a glimpse of your magical smile in Jeans' expression
of love.

A letter, dated May 11, 2012, from Jean M. Roncallo, Thom Lupo, State President, Grand Lodge of New York, Order Sons of Italy in America:

"Dear Mr. President:

I am writing on behalf of the entire Roncallo Family in response to your letter of April 23, 2012.

With great joy and humility I write to inform you that it is an honor to have the Justice Angelo D. Roncallo Lodge be added to the list of names from which new lodges can choose during their formation process.

Thank your for this great honor that you have bestowed on my father. It means a great deal to all of us to have him remembered in such an extraordinary and distinguished manner.

Very truly yours,

Jean M. Roncallo

A letter, dated April 23, 2012, from the Order of Sons of Italy in America, to Ms. Jean Roncallo:

"Dear Jean: It would be our honor and privilege if your family would allow the Grand Lodge of New York, Order Sons of Italy in America, to add the name of Justice Angelo D. Brother Roncallo's name would be added to our listing with prestigious names such as: Giacamo Puccini, Henry Mancini, Rudolph Valentino and Niccolo Macchiavelli.

The Columbus Lodge #2143 has requested this addition and with your permission we will be honored to give new lodges in the Nassau and Suffolk area an opportunity to use the name - Justice Angelo D. Roncallo Lodge.

...We look forward to your reply.

Fraternally,
Thom A. Lupo
