We miss you ! I would be on the phone with you today and you would be giving me a hard time! I want you to know I expect a call!!!
I miss my best friend, my family, my heart.
Happy 1st Birthday in Heaven love... Until we meet again. <333
I saw you through the window
As the sun was shining through
Your eyes were warm and tender
In the midst of the morning dew
They sparkled and they gleamed
In the morning sun
They spoke of all you had to give
They spoke of all your love
I saw you through the window
With your dad and mom
Playing sports in Heaven
In the morning sun
Happy 1st Birthday in Heaven Retta...
You are deeply loved and missed...
You will be missed by friend, but left many great memories! Patty
I just recently learned this tragic news. Lauretta was one of the few individuals whom I truly enjoyed working with, and becoming friends with. She was always upbeat, always nice and always willing to lend a helping hand. Lauretta will truly be missed. My sincerest condolences.
Lots of fond memories with Irv on the softball field. Sincere condolensces to the family.
irv - you are so special to so many. Thank you for everything.
I just happened upon Lauretta's death notice in Newsday yesterday and was so shocked to read of her passing. She was one of my first bosses when I started with Citibank in 1978. And then again at the Plainview Data center. She was always there if you needed a helping hand. I'm glad we reunited on Facebook a few years ago. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family. Rest in peace, Lauretta.
You were a great friend and helped me so much out at Plainview. You went out of your way to make things work better and right while always retaining your sense of humor. I close my eyes and see you , smiling and enjoying your work. Good bye friend.
I will never forget how kind Lauretta was to me, letting me use space at the Plainview Data Center even when I was not suppose to be there, due to her kindness it lasted a few years. Fond memories of the holiday parties she would arrange in the lunch room. She was a wonderful person, my deepest condolences to the Irving family and those who were close with her.
So sad to read of your passing. Besides being the inspiration for numerous intricately detailed motivational songs, you gave us plenty of fun memories from our HF days. From trick-or-treating at away games, to helping us forge lifelong friendships. Hopefully, up in heaven you find joy and goofy angels to watch run around the entire field hockey field and not just the 50 yard line. Godspeed, Atterual!
My condolences to Lauretta's family. As a child she was my babysitter. We recently reconnected on Facebook & I'm glad we did.
Have been associated with Lauretta for 18 months but feel as if it was much much longer. The never give up attitude, hard-work and keeping her sense of humor inspite of all odds made her a unique person. Will miss you L..... Sunny
I can't believe my aunt is gone. She was an amazing women that never had an ounce of quit in her. She entertained us, taught us, and most of all loved us unconditionally. I am so sorry I took her for granted. I really thought she would be around as long as my grandmother was. I am so shocked and I feel like my heart has exploded. I love you Aunt Lauretta... " May the roads rise to meet you, May the winds be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields,
and until we meet again May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.
Lauretta was awesome to work with and will be greatly missed. What a wonderful lady. My sincerest condolences.
Great person and a wonderful boss. You will be greatly missed. Love Tejinder
I worked with Lauretta in the Plainview data center when she ran the entire facility. Power, AC,phones everything building. But she had a challenge: how to monitor all of this equipment 24x7x52 with the resources available. Well she managed the building Security staff, and realized a resource… so she devised a system of Green or Red dots stuck next to each “light on a box,” numbered them and had the guards make the rounds checking the colors on the lights and the dots! It was great!
I enjoyed working with Lauretta for many years at the “country club data center” before being “assimilated” into Weehawken (itself later assimilated…)
There is one less smile in the world…
A wonderful, caring, amazingly dear friend. You will be deeply missed by all. Thank you for gracing our lives with your presence.
Generous, good-humored, sensitive, loving. You will be missed
