What a wonderful message written about an awesome human being. I haven't seen Kurt in awhile but I do remember his smiling happy being blessed with so much. My heart aches for the loss of this child who grew into such a spectacular man loved by too many to count. GODSPEED KURT until we all join you in the heavenly skies,

I was Kurt's SLD teacher at Rosenwald. We went to NYC together to see a special doctor. He was my most significant student in so many ways. He tried SO hard and he wanted to be like other kids, but acknowledged his obstacles. I have two favorite stories. Once, his spelling word was love. He spelled it lof - he knew how to spell of so this made so much sense. I told him he made a brilliant choice, but that I needed him to think of love, dove, above. He thought that over. Another story is that in the 7th grade he got a "love note" from a girl he really liked. He could not read it. He came up to my desk and asked me if I would help. We "decoded" the note, then, I helped him write a response. BEST language lesson ever! I am heartbroken! Rest in peace, Kurt.

I send my deepest condolences and love to the McCauley family at this sorrowful time. I worked for his step-dad, Carroll for almost 13 years and got to know Kurt very well. He was a bright, handsome and positive man who was so willing to work hard and help others. He even helped me move, back in 1999 and wasn't going to charge a thing. And he was blessed to be surrounded by so much love and support from his large, loving family. Heaven will be an even lovelier place with his sweet presence. With love to Carroll, Cynthia and the rest of the family; May Father God give you strength and comfort.
