Our life in St Andrews was truly enriched by you and Eloise. Your friendship, your stories and your love for life will always be remembered. What a rare character you were and always will be. We will truly miss you.

Hard to believe he is gone. I learned to dive at the old SSDS and the "Y" in B'ham in 1977. I was only 15. I had no money, but was eager to learn and Bill was kind enough to allow me to work for my tuition by helping carry tanks and equipment to and from the van for one series of classes and then take the next series, myself. I have always appreciated him for giving me that opportunity! I was also proud of him later on when he relocated most of the fish in East Lake before it was drained and renovated! For that and much more, many thanks, Cap'n. For anyone who may not already know it, you can still reminisce with Cap'n Scuba on YouTube by searching Bill Tant. Sincerest condolences to Eloise, Mark and the rest of the family.
