He taught me to use the tools that would open up a new underwater world for me.
Thanks Bill. Rest in Peace.

Bill went to school with my Father. He taught me to dive back in 1971 and I have been diving ever since. He was a good friend with a kind heart and taught me a lot when I was a young teen. SSDS taught my son to dive a few years ago and we will be able to share this love of diving for may years to come. Thanks for everything Bill, you legacy lives on.

What a legend! I did'nt know Bill personally, but I played little league baseball with Mark and we were sponsored by Tant's Plaza. Was later certified by SSDS, and got to hear stories about Bill. He was a true Pirate, and will be missed.

In 1958 when I was 7 years old, I came down the alley from my home (a few doors up), and asked Bill for a job. So, he handed this little kid a broom, and I starting sweeping for the grand salary of 25 cents. That was the start of a relationship that, thru the years, made him my childhood hero, and still is. My memories include hauling tanks to the YWCA, filling tanks on holiday weekends, and at 14 years old he helped me navigate the "world of young ladies" (and what good advice he gave). Eventually, I was making trips with him to Panama City (working the whole time). But, Bill took me under his wing and took the time to teach me about diving
and life. He was my mentor from age 7 to adulthood. I loved him and never have forgotten all the things he taught me. Rest in peace, Bill. You had a life well lived!!!!
