TO ALL THE SUMMERALL FAMILY; MAY MY FAMILY AND I OFFER OUR CONDOLENCES FOR YOUR LOSS. WHEN I MET MR. SUMMERALL IN AKRON, OHIO AT THE AMERICAN GOLF CLASSIC, IT WAS THE MOST EXCITING THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME. WE TALKED FOR A WHILE AND HE ASKED ME IF I WOULD LIKE TO BE A SPOTTER FOR CBS DURING THE TOURNAMENT; I WAS ECSTATIC. MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Thank you Pat for so many outstanding years of quality commentating. You were a gentleman first and it was evident in all your broadcasts. You will be sorely missed Pat and honestly, no one is capable of filling the large shoes you have left behind. I know America and the world was a much better place because you were in it and now heaven will be. My sincere condolences to all the friends and family of one of the finest broadcasters to have graced the airwaves. Godspeed and rest in peace Pat.

Pat, you are one football great that will be dearly missed. A few years ago, I opened a pack of football cards and low and behold right in the middle of the pack was a card signed by you (in red ink). It was in the Tops 1957 commemorative set. Rest in Peace. God Bless You.

Always enjoyed his broadcasting. I just found out recently, that his wife and I went to high school together. Cheri, so sorry for your loss, but you will see him again! I'm praying that as you adjust to the void he left, you will be comforted.
