One of the best on and off the court

I attended a Coaches Against Cancer breakfast in St Louis with Coach Majerus. He was very passionate about the cause and related a story of his own Mother ... A fine human being who will be missed. The world could use more people of the ilk of Coach Majerus ...

Majerus Family,
Even though i did not have the pleasure of knowing Rick, I was fortunate enough to have known his parents. My father was his administrative assistant and friend. The Majerus' were wonderful and well respected people. Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends, May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Rest in Peace Rick

RIP Coach. You accomplished so much at SLU that we will be forever grateful for. You had a great basketball mind, but were a great person at the same time.
December 02, 2012
He was everything college basketball should be. It was always about the kids and teaching them that first and foremost that academics came first. Had brillant basketball mind and had a great sense of humor. St. Louis U was very lucky to have him.

He will be missed greatly
