Slim's great voice and voice control are a unique combination that is rare. The nice guy to go along with that is hard to beat.
Rest in peace, Slim. You will be missed.

I saw Slim Whitman in concert at Lake Tahoe, he had such a beautiful voice. I got his autograph shortly before he passed away and will treasure it always. His brother Robert sings and sounds a lot like Slim, he sings at our church every few weeks and is a crowd favorite. I know so much about Slim from just listening to Robert talk about him.

Cattle Call was my favorite of all your recordings. My Dad would come home from work at 12:45 a.m. and the first thing he did was put your record on the phonograph and blasted it. I loved to hear you yodel. Thanks to your recordings, your voice will live forever. God bless you & thank you.

I worked with Slim for 26 years. He was the last of the classic legendary Country Western Singers. He sold 120 million records and had a pure range of 3 1/2 octaves. No country Artist today or in the past could match his beautiful singing style with those wonderful falsetto breaks he added in just the right places. We'll miss you Slim. I know you're with your beautiful wife Jerry.
