We were sorry to hear of Jean's passing. We just drove by Harding Lake last weekend and commented on our fun times at the lake with you and Jean. It was always great boating and skiing on the lake. We walk our dog at the mushers hall now and always think of you in the timing shack. Our thoughts are with you, Wayne.

Wayne & Family - so glad to have met you both in Fairbanks and had those fun Turkey Dinners at Lefty's house that Ted cooked. It was so refreshing when we had to listen to the ONAC on the computer to hear Jeans voice and share a few e-mails as reminders of our friendship with you both. May peace be to Jean's memory. Jean's voice starting ADMA races will be long remembered. Her dedication to the club cannot be overstated. Wayne and Jean both lived and breathed for ADMA for well over 30 years. They servered in many capacities including president, treasurer, historian and race timer. Folks around the world (literally) knew when Jean said the race times were "final," they were absolutely accurate. I appreciated her complete reliability, professionalism and attention to detail, and I will miss her. My sincerest thoughts and condolences go out to Wayne and family.

The most famous words in the mushing community, "Two Minutes". Everytime I hear them I will see Jean's smile exposing her GREAT spirt of selflessness. God Bless you and Wayne.

Wayne and family - so sorry to hear of Jean's passing. What great years we shared at the Fairbanks dog races - and some challenging times as well! My first (1976) and last (2006) memories of dog racing in Fairbanks are of Jean's voice on Second Avenue. I started oh-so-many races to her 5-4-3-2-1-GO! and listened for her voice as I came into the lower field or onto 2nd Avenue on the way home. When I announced races from the timing tower, she forgave me when I talked at the wrong time or stepped on her countdowns. She never let others distract her.
Jean (and Wayne) served on the ADMA board for decades - suffering through so many new board members with great "new" ideas that she'd been hearing from previous board members for many years. She helped us through budgets and financial crises, new timing technology, new race classes, and two IFSS World Championships.
Thank you Jean for all you did for our sport, our clubs and for each of us individually. Kathy & Lloyd

Wayne and Family,
We are saddened to hear of Jean's passing. What a terrific person and loved member of the mushing community. The value that Jean and Wayne contributed to the Alaska Dog Mushers Association is deserving of a Hall of Fame membership. God Bless you, Jean. Thank you, Wayne, for sharing her with us. She made the world a better place.

So sorry to hear of this. Jean will be greatly missed and always remembered by the mushing community. I sure had a great time hanging out with her in the timing tower at the 2012 LNAC races, what a dedicated volunteer she was.

So very sorry to hear of Jeans passing. She had become a very good friend of mine while in Alaska, and Wayne as well. I will miss the long phone conversations we have had the last few years. So very sad and my condolences to Wayne and the rest of her family...

Dear Wayne and Family,
This morning it was with great sadness that I read of Jean's passing. Please accept my deepest and most heart felt condolences. Every time I think of dog racing I hear Jean's voice counting down the start for teams. Jean was the best, the very best. She taught more dogs how to count than anyone. Knowing that the both of you were timing a race made my life so much easier.
Again, my deepest condolences for the loss of Jean. She gave so much to so many .
Most Respectfully,
Mike
