Ronald Feeley Obituary

Ronald Feeley, 61, of Fairbanks, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.
Ron was born Nov. 9, 1951, in Flint, Mich.
Upon graduating, Ron served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran.
Ron moved to Alaska in 1975 with his aunt Connie and uncle Lynn Twigg, and his cousins to Talkeetna before moving to Fairbanks.
Ron and his wife, Dawna (Moneymaker), were married July 23, 1994. Ron was employed as a laborer with Local 942 for many years, and saw most of his work on the North Slope and the trans-Alaska oil pipeline.
Ron loved fishing and all things Alaska and the outdoors. He was proud of his accomplishments on his gardens and landscapes around the house. He was a jack of all trades and was a member of the American Legion and the Pentecostal Church.
Ron was eager to help those in need and was a man who showed his feelings in deeds and not necessarily in words. Ron had many lifelong friends and did a great job trying to stay in contact with them.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Dawna Feeley; stepdaughter, Alisa Chacon, (Mike James), of Fairbanks; stepson, Michael Ault, (Shannon O'Kelly-Ault), of Fairbanks; grandchildren, Hailey Rae Chacon, Danny Mitchell Chacon, Connor Michael O'Kelly-Ault and Skye Elizabeth O'Kelly-Ault, all of Fairbanks; brother, Donny, (Marion), Feeley of Michigan; sister, Laura, (Dave) Adams, of Michigan; sister, Rhonda Pocock, of Michigan; brother-in-law, John Moneymaker, of Fairbanks; brother and sister-in-law, Bo and Paulette Moneymaker, of North Pole; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and other family members.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home.
Arrangements were entrusted to Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home.

Ronnie was a very good friend. I met him in Alaska in 1975 through Lonnie. They came pulling up in Eagle River in a big white school bus with Bob Serger(down on main street) blasting from the bus which was converted for traveling. I will always remember how happy and kind Ronnie was, always lending a hand in whatever needed to be done. My prayers & thoughts are with his family & friends... RIP my friend and I am sure Lonnie was first in line to greet you.. <3
