Jackie, when I met you at Lutheran hospital years ago and learned of your difficult teen years I remember thinking how glad I felt that you and Dean had each other. It seems that I was correct. May God and your memories carry you
through.

Dean was the first dear friend I made in Iowa. We met at Lake of Three Fires when he rented a boat to us. Carol and I rowed out to the center of the lake with a church member's daughter and realized that we really didn't know how to row. :) We really didn't know how we were going to get back to shore and as panic was setting in---Dean shows up in a motor boat to rescue us. We were embarrassed but Dean was such a gentleman about it. (He was a 7th grader and Carol and I were going into 8th.) He towed us to shore and never teased us. Well... not about being stranded on the lake! When we saw him at school in September he just smiled and we knew that Dean was indeed a friend. We had just moved from Texas and he helped introduce us to the school. He remained a dear friend. It was wonderful touching base throughout the years. Through marriages, children, relocations, etc... it warmed our hearts to catch up where we left off. Dean was a "heart tugger." I trusted him. He loved his family and was so proud of them. His charm, sense of humor, and friendship will always bring a smile as we remember him.

I am in such shock to hear of Deans passing. I grew up next door to Dean and the Harris family and I have such fond memories of all of them. Dean was always the 'prankster' of them all, there was never a dull moment on State Street because of him! My thoughts and prayers go out to you all and may God wrap you in his loving arms and fill you with comfort!

My heart breaks for the Harris family. For the last 15 years I've had the honor and privilege of knowing and working with Dean. When he walked into a room with that twinkle in his eye, you never knew what he was going to say or do, but it would most likely embarrass someone. That was part of his charm. He was more than a great friend and mentor to me, and will never be far from my thoughts. His words of wisdom and guidance will never be forgotten. Dean .... TWO!!!

I love you, I miss you deeply, I have countless happy and funny memories, so many memories and we had so many inside jokes that I may be talking to myself forever...Quack, quack, quack, quack, quack. It's teven tirty!

Mrs. Harris and Family,
I had the pleasure of working with Dean over the years as a Recruiter for his employer Siemens. He had a vivacious personality, was fun for me to work with, and always gave me guidance when I asked for it. I am truly sorry to hear of your loss of him. I am thinking about you and wishing you comfort and peace through your great memories of him.

I feel so saddened by Dean's death even tho I haven't seen him for years. I feel forever grateful to have known Dean and his Bedford family. I learned alot being around him and loved his sense of humor. My sincere sympathy goes out to you.

I have nothing but great memories of Dean on the golf course. Always fun to play with and against. He truly loved the game and his family.
