Nancy Bugner Obituary

Nancy Jones Bugner
July 9, 1930 - January 29, 2013
Raleigh
Nancy Bugner passed from this life at home on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 after a prolonged illness, attended by family and close friends. She was born at Columbia Hospital in Washington, DC, the only daughter of the late Charles E. (Jr) and Marion G. Jones.
She was a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD, and Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, VA. Her career included working in the Washington, DC and suburban Maryland areas for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Suburban Trust Company, where she met her future husband, and Vitro Laboratories. In Raleigh, she was a medical and legal transcriptionist both on the staff of Holly Hill Hospital, and as an independent agent. As an independent agent she also typed thesis and dissertation documents for graduate students at North Carolina State University.
In addition to residing in the metropolitan Washington area, she lived in Zweibrucken, Germany, and Woodstock, New York before settling in Raleigh, NC.
She is survived by Fred, her husband of 55 years, her sons Keith and Kevin, Kevin's wife Kim, and grandchildren Kaleigh and John.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb 1st from 6-8pm at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 1701 E. Millbrook Rd. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 2nd at 11am at Millbrook United Methodist Church, 1712 E. Millbrook Road, Raleigh, NC. Burial will follow the service at Montlawn Memorial Park.
The following paragraph is in Nancy's own words; "Other than the birth of my sons, my proudest day was my son, Kevin's, marriage to our daughter-in-law, Kimberly Ann Phinney. She has now become like our daughter and an integral part of our little family, and we all love her. Kaleigh, Kim's daughter, is just as precious to us and sweet enough to eat. I love my boys dearly, but I do enjoy having two girls in the family to spoil again".
Memorial donations may be sent to either Alzheimer's North Carolina (http://www.alznc.org) or Heartland Hospice Services (http://www.hcr-manorcare.com/heartlandhospice/Raleigh).
Arrangements by Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Millbrook Rd. Condolences may be made though www.brownwynne.com.
